Project Overview
The Re-Carbon project is an environmentally focused initiative by Galatasaray Robotics. Recognizing the environmental cost of engineering and competition, this project aims to calculate and offset the carbon footprint generated by our team during the intense FRC build and competition season.
Methodology
We conducted a thorough analysis of our operations, calculating our total carbon footprint by examining data on electricity consumption, transportation, natural gas usage, and waste generation. This data-driven approach allowed us to understand exactly where our environmental impact was highest.
Our Goal
To neutralize our impact, we planted saplings through the Tema Foundation based on our calculated results. Ultimately, Re-Carbon aims to make environmental awareness an integral part of the FRC process, proving that technological advancement does not have to come at the expense of our planet.
